Exam Pattern Of APTET 2013
All questions in APTET September 2013 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each question carrying 1 mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.APTET 2013 will be consist of two papers
1.Paper I (for Classes I to V); No. of MCQs is 150
Duration of examination: 2½ hours
2.Paper II (for classes VI to VIII); No of MCQs is 150
Duration of examination: 2½ hours
A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Structure and Content for Paper-I
(Total 150 marks)1.Child Development and Pedagogy: Number of multiple choice questions(MCQs) are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
2. Language I: No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
3. Language II(English): No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
4. Mathematics:No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
5. Environmental Studies: No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
Structure and Content for Paper-II
(Total 150 marks)1.Child Development and Pedagogy: No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
2. Language I: No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
3. Language II (English):No.of MCQs are 30 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 30.
4. Mathematics and Science or Social Studies: No.of MCQs are 60 each question carry 1 mark, total marks are 60.
For Paper II Science & Mathematics sectors questions will be as follows
1.Mathematics: 30 multiple choice questions
2.Physical Science: 14 multiple choice questions
3.Biological Science: 16 multiple choice questions
Total: 60 marks
For Paper II Social Studies portion the syllabus will be as follows
1.History and Civics: 30 multiple choice questions
2.Geography & Economics: 30 multiple choice questions
Total: 60 marks
Medium Of Question Paper
The question paper shall be bilingual i.e.,it shall be English followed by the Language I chosen for all languages except for Sanskrit. For Sanskrit it shall be Telugu followed by Sanskrit.Pass Criteria Of APTET September 2013
1.For OC Community: 60% Marks and above2.For BC Community: 50% Marks and above
3.For SC/ST/Differently abled(PH)Community: 40% Marks and above
Validity period of APTET Certificate / Marks Memo
In accordance with the NCTE guidelines the APTET certificate/ Marks Memo will be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of examination.Candidates are required to read the official notification carefully for more details.
