Name of the post: Constables (Driver)

No of vacancies: A total of 645 Vacancies exists. Out of which SC Category: 244 posts, ST Category: 63 Posts, OBC Category: 91 Posts, General: 173 Posts, Ex-Servicemen: 74 Posts.

Educational qualification: To apply for Constables (Driver) post Candidate should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board/ university and must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Age Limit: To apply for Constables (Driver) post candidate age should be between 23 to 28 years as on 01-08-2013.

Pay Scale: pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 in the grade pay of Rs.2000/- and other allowances admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time in “Sashastra Seema Bal”.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected as Constable (Driver) based on the performance in written examination/ driving test/ technical test/ PST/PET and medical examination.

Application fee & Mode of payment Details

Application fee: Rs.150/-for General and OBC Category Candidates.

Mode of Payment: Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs.150/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, FTR HQ, SSB, Siliguri, (West Bengal) ” payable at SBI Siliguri, Code No.0184.
