Educational qualification: Candidate should possess M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. in the relevant subject with B.Ed. As per G.O.Ms.No. 361 School Education Department dated 31.12.1999.
Age Limit: To apply for Post Graduate Assistants post candidate age should not be more than 57 years as on 01-07-2013 as the age of superannuation is 58 years.
Pay Scale : The pay scale range for Post Graduate Assistants post is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay : Rs.4800
Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination,Certificate Verification and Weightage marks for period of wait in Employment Exchange & Teaching experience.
Scheme of Examination: The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration with 150 MCQ’s each question carries 1 mark. The marks allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge are mentioned below:

How to get Application Form: Application Form & Prospectus can be purchased from 31-05-2013 to 14-06-2013 in person from the Office of the Chief Educational Officers of all 32 Districts in Tamilnadu on payment of Rs.50/- in cash towards the cost of the Application Form & Prospectus.
Examination Fee: Candidates need to pay the examination fees Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST & Differently Abled) in any Branch of State Bank Of India / Indian Overseas Bank using the prescribed challan attached with the prospectus.
