Post Name: Technician

No of vacancies: A total of 550 Technician posts available. In that

Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): 264 posts.
Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): 286 posts.

Educational qualification: Candidate should have passed Matriculation with 03 years full time Diploma in relevant discipline of Engineering (Metallurgy/ Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Chemical ) For Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee).

Matriculation with ITI (Full time) in relevant trades (Fitter/ Electrician/ Welder/ Machinist/ Electronics/ Diesel Mechanic ) For Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee).

Age Limit: To apply for Technician job at SAIL candidate age should be between 18 years to 28 years as on 1-10-2013.

Pay Scale: The pay scale range for Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) is Rs.9160-3%- 13150/-,for Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) is Rs.8630-3%- 12080/-

Selection Process: Candidate selection for SAIL Technician recruitment will be based on written test & interview.

Application fee & Mode of payment Details

Application fee:a) Candidates belonging to General/OBC category will be required to pay application fee of:
Rs.250/- for the post of Operator-cum Technician (Trainee)
Rs.150/- for the post of Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee)

b) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ESM category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs.50/- for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) / Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee).

c) In addition to the application / processing fee as above, candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only) as Bank Charges.
