Educational qualification: Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized University or an Institution or its equivalent and should have passed Punjabi Language subject upto Matric standard.
Age Limit: To apply for Inspector post candidate age should be between 18 - 38 years for General, between 18 to 43 years for SC/BC, between 18 to 42 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other categories of women,
between 18 to 45 years for Applicants who are already in Government Service, between 18 to 48 years for Physically Handicapped as on 01-01-2013.
Pay Scale : The pay scale range for Inspector post is Rs.10300 - Rs. 34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4200 and initial pay of Rs. 16290/-.
Selection Process: Selection will be made on written examination. Merit will be prepared on the basis of result of written examination.
The question paper will be provided both in English and Punjabi. It will have 150 questions each carrying one mark.
a) Language Proficiency
1. Punjabi: 13 questions
2. English: 12 questions
b) General Knowledge: 25 questions
c) Mental Ability / Reasoning: 50 questions
d) Mathematical Skills (With Matric as the difficulty level) : 25 questions
e) Computer Proficiency: 25 questions
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Duration of the Examination: 150 minutes
Application fee & Mode of payment Details
SC/ BC candidates are need to pay Application fee of Rs. 200/- and Rs.800/- for all other categories including General in the form of Bank Challan and has to be deposited at State Bank of Patiala or its branches.
