JKPSC Assistant Professor Vacancy, Eligibility Details

Name of the post: Assistant Professor

No of vacancies: A total of 1289 Vacancies exists.

Educational qualification: Candidate should have passed Master’s Degree in the subject concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in the seven point scale from an Indian University or equivalent course/degree from an Indian/Foreign University with NET/SLET conducted by the UGC/CSIR/Association of Indian University (AIU)/University of Kashmir/Jammu or Ph.D.

Age Limit: To apply for Assistant Professor post candidate age should be between 18-37 years as on 01-01-2013. Age relaxations will be extended as per the govt rules.

Pay Scale : The pay scale range for this post is Rs. 15600-39100 plus the academic pay grade of Rs. 6000.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Screening Test & Interview.

Application fee & Mode of payment Details

Application Forms can be obtained from the office of the J&K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground Srinagar/Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu on cash payment of 500/- (excluding processing charges of Rs.10/) for General Category candidates & 250/-(excluding processing charges of 10/-) for other category candidates through the counters of J&K Bank opened in the offices of J&K Public Service Commission from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm on all working days.

Interested candidates who fulfill the above eligibility criteria may required to apply through OMR Application Forms. The OMR Application Forms should be filled correctly and completely. A copy of passport size photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer should be pasted at the relevant place in the Application Form. Application Form complete in all respects should be photo-copied. The photocopies of the certificates attached with photocopy of the Application Form. The OMR Application Form together with the photocopy of the Application Form and enclosures must be send by registered post to the following mentioned address on or before 24-06-2013
