Name of the post: Ayurvedic Medical Officer
1. S.E.B.C: 16 Vacancies
2. Scheduled Caste: 56 Vacancies
3. Scheduled Tribe: 120 Vacancies
No of vacancies: A total of 192 Vacancies exists.
Educational qualification: To apply for Ayurvedic Medical Officer post applicant should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) or equivalent degree from an University or Institution recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and must have registered himself/ herself under the Odisha State Council of Ayurvedic Medicines.
Age Limit: To apply for Ayurvedic Medical Officer post applicant age must not be under the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years as on the 1st January, 2013.
Pay Scale : The pay scale range for Ayurvedic Medical Officer post is Rs.9300-34800/- & Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- with usual Dearness and other Allowances.
Selection Process: Selection of candidates for the posts of Ayurvedic Medical Officer shall be made on the basis of written test and career marking. The career marking will be for 30% (10% each for class 10th class 12th and BAMS) and 70% for written Test.
Application fee & Mode of payment Details
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.300/-. Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and persons with disability applicants are need not to pay the fee.
Mode of payment: Applicants are need to pay the fee shall take a printout of Online Challan (Pay-in-Slip)) for payment of requisite fee at any branch of State Bank of India.

The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can apply online through opsconline.gov.in website between 25-12-2013 and 25-01-2014. After submission of online application form, an Unique Registration ID will be displayed. Applicants are required to take a printout of the finally submitted online application form. Applicants must send the Application printout alongwith copies of requisite certificate and documents in an envelope must be superscribed as “Application For The Post Of Ayurvedic Medical Officer” and O.P.S.C. copy of Challan showing payment of application fee, by Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier Service to the following mentioned address on or before 03-02-2014.
