1. Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Entamology/Nematology): 85 Vacancies
2. Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Plant Pathology/Virology/Bacteriology): 67 Vacancies
3. Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Weed Science): 29 Vacancies
4. Investigator (Group-C): 06 Vacancies
5. Data Entry Operator Grade-‘B’: 08 Vacancies
Educational qualification:
For Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Entamology/Nematology):
Candidate should have M.Sc. degree in Entomology or Nematology or M.Sc. degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Nematology or M.Sc. degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Nematology from a recognized University.
For Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Plant Pathology/Virology/Bacteriology):
Candidate should have M.Sc. degree in Plant Pathology or M.Sc. degree in Agriculture with specialization in plant Pathology or M.Sc. degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology from a recognized University.
For Assistant Plant Protection Officer (Weed Science):
Candidate should have M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy) with specialization in weed Science or M.Sc. degree in Botany with Weed Science as a subject from a recognized University.
For Investigator (Group-C):
Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics or Statistics or Economics as a subject.
For Data Entry Operator:
Candidate should have Degree of a recognized University or equivalent and Should possess a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry work.
Age Limit: To apply for Data Entry Operator post candidate age should be not exceed 25 years. Below 30 years for all remaining posts as on 27th December, 2013.
Pay Scale :
The pay scale range for Asst Plant Protection Officer, Investigator posts is Pay Band-2, Rs. 9300-34800 with G.P. 4200/-
The pay scale range for Data Entry Operator post is Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200 + G.P. Rs. 2800/-
Selection Process: Shortlisting of candidates for Interview/Skill Test/Typing Test etc. will be done on the basis of the marks in respective field or the percentage of marks in the screening test, if conducted.
Application fee & Mode of payment Details
Candidates will have to pay Examination fee of Rs. 50/- and No fee for SC, ST, Female candidates, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen. Candidates are advised to pay the Examination fee in the form of CRFS for which they are not to pay any commission to the post office. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
