Name of the post: Horticulture Officer
Name of the Service and Code No.: Tamil Nadu Agricultural Service (Code No.017)
No of vacancies: A total of 183 Vacancies exists.
Educational qualification: To apply for Horticulture Officer post applicant should have passed Bachelor Degree in Horticulture or its equivalent qualification awarded by an University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants.
Age Limit: To apply for Horticulture Officer post SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes candidates minimum age should be 18 Years and between 18 years to 30 years for Others as on 01-07-2013.
Pay Scale : The pay scale range for Horticulture Officer post is Rs. 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 5100/-.
Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of Main Examination in Computer Based Test format and Oral Test.
Examination fee & Mode of payment Details
Applicants are required to pay fee of Rs.175/- (i.e. Cost of Application Rs. 50/- + Examination fee Rs.125/-). Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/-.
Mode of payment: Applicants can pay the fee through Online mode/Offline mode.
Online Payment: Candidates can pay the fee through Net banking, Credit card & Debit card payment, an additional page of the application form will be displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions & fill in the requisite details to make payment. After successfully completion of online transaction, a registration ID number & password will be generated, candidates must retain it for future reference.
Offline Payment: For offline payment, candidates have to select either Post Office or Indian Bank branch. Then click “Submit” to submit the application form. Applicant will be provided with application number & password. On submission, system will generate the payment challan which the candidate need to take print out & go to the nearest branch of Indian Bank or the designated Post Offices as the case may be, to make the payment.
